Coolidge and the American Project
The Coolidge Foundation kicked off the 2023 Centennial Celebrations with a two-day conference at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Some 250 attendees heard a distinguished lineup of speakers and panelists reflect on Coolidge, his leadership, the civic virtues he exemplified, and the lessons Coolidge offers for our own age. Speakers included Vice President Mike Pence, Mayor Kurt Schmoke, Senator Peter Welch, historian Margaret McAleer, Governor Mitch Daniels, historian Amity Shlaes, publisher Steve Forbes, Governor Kristi Noem, Judge Edith Jones, Governor John Sununu, columnist Cal Thomas, historian George Nash, and historian Garland Tucker, among others.
Conference attendees also attended the premiere of the new documentary film Coolidge: Rediscovering an American President.
