Looking for a special way to celebrate Independence Day in 2025? Come to the home of the only president born on the Fourth of July, Calvin Coolidge.
You won’t want to miss this year’s celebrations at the beautiful Coolidge homestead in Plymouth Notch, Vermont. The events include:
July 2–4: The Coolidge Cup debate championship
July 3: The Coolidge Foundation annual meeting and Summer Dinner
July 4: A public reading of the Declaration of Independence led by Coolidge Foundation students
July 4: A special wreath laying at President Coolidge’s grave — the Vermont National Guard will lay a wreath sent by the White House
July 4: A special performance by conductor John Masko’s 13-instrument orchestra — pieces to be performed include George Gershwin’s “Three Preludes,” Arthur Foote’s “Night Piece,” Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring,” and John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”
